This notice summarizes important appointment details, service policies, and terms that apply to all grooming appointments (mobile, studio, or boarding) with Groomers Direct Mobile Dog Grooming. By scheduling, confirming, or proceeding with any appointment, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. 

Appointment Confirmation
All appointments must be requested via our Appointment Request Form or confirmed directly with us. Once scheduled, please confirm the date and time by replying to any confirmation communication or by phone if we have not already spoken. Unconfirmed appointments may be subject to cancellation. The must be an adult present at all times that we are offering services either in the studio or mobile.  In the state of Alabama that person must be at least 
19 years old (Ala. Code § 26-1-1).  Alabama age reference: Ala. Code § 26-1-1 designates the age of majority as 19 years (not 18 in most contexts, though 18-year-olds who are unemancipated may have some limited contract rights under recent amendments). The citation is accurate for requiring an adult (19+) to be present for services involving potential contracts/liability.

Service Recording Notice
For quality assurance, safety, and training purposes, audio and video recording is in use:

  • In the grooming studio: recording (audio and video) is typically active at all times.
  • In the mobile grooming van: recording (audio and video) may be active during most grooming sessions.

Payment Terms

  • Accepted methods: Cash or credit card.
  • A 6% convenience fee will be added to all credit card transactions.
  • We do not accept checks.
  • We cannot provide change for bills larger than $10.

Mobile Grooming Specific Requirements

  • A ±60 – minute grace period applies to arrival times due to traffic, directions, or other uncontrollable factors.
  • We may require access to a standard electrical outlet (110–120V) to operate our portable grooming equipment.
  • Your pet must be accessible and ready at the scheduled (or adjusted) arrival window.
  • Failure to provide access without prior arrangement constitutes a no-show.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy
To avoid fees, cancellations or rescheduling requests must be received at least 48 hours in advance—and no less than 12 hours before the appointment.

  • Same-day cancellations, no-shows, or failure to provide access (mobile appointments) — except in cases of documented pet emergency, illness, or injury — will incur a charge of 50% of the total grooming fee (including any applicable convenience fee).
  • This fee compensates for the reserved, appointment-only time slot that cannot typically be re-booked on short notice.
  • Future appointments may require prepayment of any outstanding cancellation fee before scheduling.

Satisfaction Guarantee
We offer a 3-day unconditional satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the service or wish to adjust based on your original instructions, contact us within 3 days of the grooming date.

Boarding / Drop-Off Policy (if applicable)
We do not offer traditional drop-off grooming services. This notice serves only as a reminder of agreed drop-off and pickup times. Any pet remaining more than 10 minutes past the scheduled pickup time will be placed in daycare at an additional charge.
